Needs-based training

Advice on the continuation of cooperation agreements with KIA partner company DB InfraGO

On 30.01.2024, talks took place at our university on the further expansion of the successful cooperation with our KIA partner company DB InfraGO. DB InfraGO is a public limited company that recently emerged from the infrastructure companies DB Netz AG and DB Station&Service AG. The talks focused on the needs-based training of the next generation of specialists in the field of railway-specific control and safety technology.

Our partnership with DB Netz AG can already look back on a tradition of over 20 years. In line with the growing demand, more than 20 students now complete the specific courses at the LSTwhich extend over four semesters. Students from other home universities are also regularly sent to our educational institution for knowledge transfer. This was made possible by the consistent switch to the concept of blended learning, in which webinars alternate with periods of attendance in the laboratories.

The guests were impressed by the wide range of laboratory facilities at the Zittau site. For example, there was a tour of the Zittau Süd training station, the basic laboratory for control and safety technology and the electronic interlocking laboratory currently under construction in Building Z I.
