Green Engineering

About the program

With a degree in Green Engineering, you'll be well prepared for a career in sustainable development and environmental technologies. You'll gain a comprehensive understanding of green engineering principles and technologies, enabling you to map the unique interface of chemical and mechanical engineering and develop innovative, environmentally friendly solutions to real-world problems.

Through the combination of process engineering (40%), mechanical engineering (40%) and environmental engineering (20%), you will learn everything that is necessary for a successful circular economy. In order to develop a holistic approach to the life cycle of products and the associated processes, you will deal with central methods in the technical field as well as with current trends.

During your studies, you will apply your knowledge through practical work and learn skills that you can then use in the company during your internship semester or as part of KIAdirekt. You can specialize in areas that particularly fascinate you through elective modules. The interdisciplinary structure of the program makes you indispensable for compliance with the EU Green Deal after successful completion.

In this video, Prof. Bellair talks about what makes the Green Engineering program so exciting and forward-thinking. Learn more about the unique opportunities the program can offer you and how it prepares you for a career in sustainable technologies and the circular economy. Discover what makes studying at our university so special and get to know one of your future professors.
