Solar cargo bike

An international team electrifies the cargo bike

One of the case studies revolved around an ambitious question: Can a cargo bike be made completely solar self-sufficient in just two days? An international team of three took up the challenge - with a great deal of technical curiosity, creative energy and the courage to experiment.

The working method was dynamic, iterative and deliberately open. A wide variety of technical approaches were tried out, discarded and developed further - supported by the use of AI tools and a talent for improvisation. We tinkered, programmed, tested - and started all over again.

The result: after two intensive days, the cargo bike was up and running - powered solely by the sun. Even if the energy efficiency can still be optimized, the key finding remains: "The sun is shining for everyone - for free."

An impressive example of what can be achieved when international cooperation meets sustainable thinking and creative technical action.
