The Radon Information Center
The Info Center offers practical courses for pupils from grade 8 onwards with internships, experiments and lectures on the topic of "Everything radon - or what?". The student training includes internships in the same subject area, but at an academic level.
The topic of radon includes information on and about radon, advisory services for the public, demonstrations on behavior and protective measures.
The Radon Information Center is mainly involved in the training of students on the Energy and Environmental Engineering course. The practical courses include experiments on radon, exhalation of radon from rocks, radon soil gas analysis and the use of various measuring techniques.
The internship is also open to interested parties from other degree courses, schools and the general public.
Students prepare for the respective experiment using the practical instructions provided. The practical course is supervised by the lecturer and the laboratory engineer and concludes with a report.
