Student Council

Are you interested in technology and science? Are you no stranger to terms such as technical thermodynamics and mechanics and do exclamations such as integral and differential not make you break out in a sweat? Then you've come to the right place, because your enthusiasm, your commitment and your ideas are the contribution that shapes our everyday student life.

The Student Council for Mechanical Engineering is your representative in the tough everyday life of studying.

We play a decisive role in ensuring that your concerns are heard and that, in addition to the daily cramming, you don't miss out on the fun of studying.

Whether it's the organization of the now infamous barbecue in the courtyard of the ZVII building, the annual bazaar for meat and bread rolls or participation in the university's internal Christmas party - we from the FSR are always there and contribute our ideas across the board.

Of course, we are always ready to listen if there are any problems during your studies or if things are not going as well as you had hoped. We are happy to provide advice and support and help you to deal with professors and university staff correctly.

In addition, you are of course always up to date and know what is currently going on on campus. Our program also includes participation in and organization of the annual "Come-In Weeks". This gives you immediate contact with the new students and contributes to a pleasant atmosphere. After all, you certainly remember your first days at the university and what would it have been like if it hadn't been for people like us or you?

Have you become curious? Would you like to drop by and see what we're up to? Then write us an email or visit us during our weekly office hours on Thursdays between 11:30 and 12:30 in the student council room in House Z VII Room 6 or join us digitally if you wish (link on request by email). The same rules regarding social distancing and the wearing of medical face masks apply in the student council room as in the rest of the university building.

New and crazy ideas are always welcome and remember that student life is what WE make of it. Studying can be much more varied than you might think.
