  • 1 What is the Production Engineering laboratory?

    The Production Technology laboratory houses a flexible manufacturing and assembly system, a so-called iCIM system. Different products can be produced fully automatically on the system. Various programs can be started and different production processes executed.

  • 2 What is taught in the lab?

    Practicals for the following modules are carried out in the PT laboratory:
    - Work preparation / CNC programming
    - Industrial robot technology
    - Applied C technology / CAM
    - Project manufacturing systems
    - Material flow systems

  • 4 How does the internship work?

    The practicals are prepared in the PC pool. The relevant software is used for this and the corresponding simulations are carried out on the PC. The simulation results are then checked and evaluated in the production engineering laboratory. The entire iCIM system is not always used for this, but individual machines are included. These are, for example, the lathe, the milling machine or the individual robots.

  • 5. what special equipment does the laboratory have?

    Equipment:
    Flexible production and assembly system with modules:

    • EMCO Concept TURN 155 lathe and EMCO Concept MILL 155 milling machine operated by 6-axis Mitsubishi RV-3SB robot with linear axis,
    • High-bay warehouse with 16 storage locations,
    • laser micrometer,
    • circulating transport system,
    • Robot assembly station with 6-axis Mitsubishi robot RV-3SB and image recognition system,
    • Master computer with Cosimir Control / Factory control software

    PC pool with 16 student workstations:

    • 16 PC Dell Precision 5820 including 24" TFT display DELL U2412M, laser printer, video projector

    Software:

    • Web-based work planning system HSiPlan/HSiKalk/HSmont,
    • CNC programming with NX manufacturing (NX12.0) and MTS 8.0 (CAD-CAM),
    • visTABLE material flow planning,
    • Simulation software WITNESS 22.5,
    • Robot programming and simulation with CIROS-Robotics,
    • 3D project planning and simulation of factory systems with CIROS Automation Suite,
    • ERP software PSIpenta 9.1 with production control center (planning board) and production data acquisition
  • 6 How can I register?

    Most programs only run in the PC pool Production Engineering Z IVa R 1.01.
