Challenge 2: Crossborder energy communities
This case study encourages us to think about energy supply in a decentralised way: the need for security of supply and fair prices, as well as the significant potential for renewable energy sources in our region (Upper Lusatia – Lower Silesian Voivodeship – Liberec Region), lead us to consider energy communities organised at local/regional or community level.

Challenge 3: „We’re taking matters into our own hands“ or „One voice for the tri-border region“
The tri-border region brings young people together across languages and cultures. Here, they learn, study, work, socialise, travel, make music, play sport and get involved in their region. And they shape their own future, navigating periods of structural change and with a wide range of options open to them.

Challenge 4: Bogatynia & neighbours – What comes after coal?
We will be getting to know Bogatynia and what is currently still its most important employer: the power station and the Turóv opencast mine. In Lusatia, we have already seen in recent years the challenges and difficulties (e.g. geology and water management), but also the opportunities, that phasing out coal can bring.
